Pad work

Hi, i want to start doing mma.
Should i do my pad work with mma gloves, or stick with small boxing gloves ?
I see a lot of fighters are doing pad work with boxing gloves ,but after I switch them to an mma gloves, It feels weird.

hey Nikodem. I like bag gloves for MMA pad work. I can punch more confident. BUT using the MMA gloves on drills and bag work to get comfortable in important to add. Sparring also if you are fighting. Using head gear will small glove sparring to avoid cuts is key.

In most cases it doesn’t matter with pad/bag work, but if it is conflicting then I say alway default to “train like you’ll fight”. So, use the MMA gloves. Good luck 😎👍

Hey Brett. I personally don't love MMA for Pad work. I don't like the shape and the feel if the pad holder is slighting off. So I actually prefer a bag glove for MMA fighters on pads. Also using the MMA gloves on drills and bag work to get comfortable!
