Hi there, so I’ve been a member for around 2 years now and love the site. I’m 48 years old, a striker and I’m looking for advice on how to create routines to help me improve. I’ve worked on a lot of your videos solo and with partners but tbh I don’t know if I’m maximising my time and prioritising the right elements to progress my training. Like I said I’m 48, work full time and have family so I’m not a youngster with loads of time and energy however I am dedicated and consistent. I started Muay Thai/ kick boxing when I was 41 and have trained consistently since then. I go to a local MMA gym here in Scotland. I’ve had two fights, 1 MMA the other K1. Unfortunately the coach is more interested in training his young fighters so I create all of my routines etc. I don’t know if I’ll ever fight again in the ring but I want to be able to hold my own against the youngsters in sparring at my classes as I’m by far the oldest in the class and I want to see a marked improvement in my, footwork, flow, fight IQ and conditioning. Have you any thoughts, advise etc? I know age is against me but I still want to make a good show of myself when at class/sparring and I really enjoy training.
Cheers
Neale
